It’s the Arran distillery’s seventh batch of their Machrie Moor peated single malt Scotch whisky, named after a mystical peat bog on the west coast of Arran. Their seventh batch was released in the latter half of 2016.
Region:
Isle of Arran, Scotland
Nose: Freshly sliced apples and orange, with a touch of grilled lemon and tropical fruit. Light but smoky peat.
Palate: Caramel and vanilla pod, with a touch of dark chocolate. Grassy peat, with more citrus behind it.
Finish: Toasted oak with lingering fruit salad notes.
