Kilchoman Distillery was founded in 2005 and is the first distillery to be built on Islay for 124 years. It is a farm distillery and a proportion of the barley used in prodution is grown and malted at the distillery.
Kilchoman is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland producting slight over 100,000 liters of alcohol per year.
Kilchoman spirit is filled into a combination of fresh bourbon barrels from Buffalo Trace Distillery, Kentuck, USA and fresh oloroso sherry butts direct from Spain.
This Kilchoman’s Feis Ile 2013 bottling is produced from barley grown, malted, distilled, matured and bottled at the distillery. It has been matured in fresh bourbon barrels for 5 years.

Region: Islay
Nose: Typical soft peat aromas, lime and pear drops, complex for age.
Palate: Sweetness first, soft peaty smoke and ripe fruity notes.
Finish: Is long and clean with peat smoke and soft citrus fruits arriving later.
