Another fabulous release of 8 Year Old Cask Strength whisky from the Kilkerran distillery. This particular single malt was aged in Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled at a generous 56.9% ABV, so it’s all smoke and spice in here!

Nose: Delicate notes of smoky peat with fresh and sharp green apples, alongside aromas of spiced rhubarb crumble with creamy vanilla custard.
Palate: Both earthy and maritime notes balance each other, with notes of walnut, vanilla pod, a dusting of icing sugar, liquorice and melted milk chocolate.
Finish: Smoky peat remains with just a hint of liquorice returning and a drizzle of honey.
