LOCH LOMOND AGED 19 YEARS – Distilled 1996

Our Loch Lomond single grain whisky has been maturing for 19 years in a variety of American oak casks, previously holding bourbon. For its final twelve months, this whisky has rested in specially selected, small barrels from Koval Distillery in Chicago.

THE ART OF MATURATION

• This is an extremely unusual whisky, both in terms of spirit production and maturation.
• Unusually made from malted barley (grain whisky is usually made from wheat or corn) and distilled through a column still, grain whisky is different from a single malt whisky. It is light, fresh, fruity and very easy to drink.
• This delicate spirit started life maturing in a refill bourbon cask, resulting in a delicious creamy and sweet whisky.
• However, the Whisky Creations Team decided to go that little bit further and continue to mature the spirit for an additional three months in their unique 30-gallon American oaks casks from the Koval Distillery in Chicago.
• Not dominated by the spirit, this single grain whisky is a celebration of American oak!
