West Cork Single Malt Sherry Cask Finished Irish Whiskey is part of a new five bottle family of single malts from West Cork Distillers. This is patiently matured in first fill bourbon casks & finished in Bodegas Baron sherry casks. Bottled at 43%, non-chill filtered and no added colour.
Rum, Virgin Oak, Calvados and Port make up the four other cask finishes from this series.
Region: Ireland
Nose: The sherry finish results in aromas of dried prunes and fig with sweet candy and vanilla notes.
Palate: Sweet at the beginning switching to a dry finish with some spice and pepper present.
Finish: A short to medium dry finish, initially sweet but ending with black pepper and spice.
