Nose: Aromas of thick stewed fruits, brandy butter and digestive biscuits come through among wood polish, rich barley, clove and chocolate sauce.
Palate: With syrupy dark fruit, malt wine and toffee apples, there’s a light helping of Campino and chocolate covered raisins. Sherried spices and toasted oak add depth.
Finish: Deep and yet delicate; a touch of dried cherries and oily walnuts are present.
Overall: A lip-lickingly delicious dram, surging with flavour, character and that charming sherry darkness.
