Single vintage rum from Diplomático? Delicious! This particular bottling of fantastic Venezuelan rum was distilled in 2002 and given a finishing period in Spanish Sherry casks before being bottled at 43% ABV.
Country: Venezuela
Nose: Fruity coffee, raspberry jam and orange oil. A touch of rye, rose and balsa wood.
Palate: Caramel and pineapple. Slightly meaty at points, but remains sweet. Cinnamon and black liquorice.
Finish: Drying oak, pine resin, sloe berries and fried banana.
