Nose: Creamy butterscotch, marshmallow and white chocolate lead. The sweetness moves into poached pears, blackcurrant jam and toasted almonds. Steamed syrup pudding and honeycomb develop with time.
Palate: Green apples, acacia honey and tropical fruits emerge through heat and spice from cinnamon and ginger. Damp oak and a little lemon oil develop.
Finish: Dry and firm. Dark berries and fruit syrups linger.
Overall: This tipple is a fine example of the gran-based excellence of Cambus.
