A cracking Campbeltown single malt from the Kilkerran range, bottled at cask strength. This particular edition was matured in Port casks, adding a helping of red berry sweetness to the intriguingly smoky whisky – a tried and tested combo, and one that doesn’t get boring.
Region: Campbeltown
Nose: Smoked meats, raspberry jam, waxy peels.
Palate: Richly smoky still, with stewed apples and fizzy strawberry laces offering balance to the savoury notes.
Finish: Salted butter on toasted crumpets, with a hint of seaweed.
