(It’s the 2021 release of The Open Special Edition from Loch Lomond! Whisky and golf fans, rejoice. It was created in partnership with professional Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie, matured in three different types of American oak casks, before being finished and married in virgin American oak.
Region: Highland
Nose: Crisp pear, honey, and building wood spice, with a suggestion of smoke.
Palate: Woody vanilla pod, nectarine, and bursts of white grape, bolstered by fragrant smokiness.
Finish: A smoky, oaky finish, with a drizzle of golden syrup alongside green apple.
