A limited edition whisky from Arran, it’s Master of Distilling II, dubbed The Man with the Golden Glass. It was made in honour of Arran master distiller James MacTaggart, who you can see on the front of the box, indeed, with a golden glass. The single malt was matured for 12 years in Palo Cortado sherry casks handpicked in Spain by James McTaggart himself. 12,000 bottles were produced at 51.8% ABV.

Nose: Tropical fruit sweetness alongside rich orange marmalade, with heather honey, a kick of fresh ginger and an earthy, grassy note.
Palate: Freshly baked bread slathered in salted butter and more orange marmalade, with creamy milk chocolate, orange oil and apple sauce.
Finish: Stewed apple with a sprinkle of ginger spice, with dried cherry and honeyed red fruits.
