It’s the first release kicking off Clonakilty’s Cask Finish series, and the blend was initially matured in bourbon casks. After, it was finished in virgin American oak as well as shaved, toasted and re-charred ex-Bordeaux red wine-seasoned European oak casks – it’s even said to be the very first Irish whiskey to be finished in the latter!
